NUEVA ESPARTA: THE PEARL OF THE CARIBBEAN
At the core of this project was a simple idea: that places with a strong identity can be revived through the stories they tell. This thesis project explored the restoration of Nueva Esparta, a Caribbean destination in Venezuela once known as one of the most visited places in the region. Through research on the decline of tourism and direct insights from local voices, I developed a visual identity that reclaims its cultural richness and natural beauty — transforming history, memory, and place into a compelling narrative designed to reconnect people with the destination.
