
HINOKU: BRANDING A COUNTRY
This project focused on designing the visual and brand identity of Hinoku, a fictional country in the East China Sea. The branding reflects its values of neutrality, progress, and connectivity, emphasizing a clean, modern, and cohesive visual system. From color palette and typography to symbols and graphic elements, every design choice was informed by Hinoku’s self-sufficient and forward-thinking character. The project was developed as part of a Design Studio course, where the brief encouraged a strategic and conceptual approach to nation branding. It explored how visual identity can communicate cultural values and positioning at a systemic level.
